Ankan’s current body of work revolves around the Covid- 19 pandemic and its socio-economic effects. Due to scarcity of art materials, this series of work has been done on treated milk cartons, revealing the state and effect of the lockdown. Open windows, screens and the television has been the only way to witness the society and effects of the virus, which he captures in his works. “I truly believe we’re in living in a fog, and not darkness. There is still hope.” he says of his outlook towards his subject of artwork.
