“ Art is not what you see, but what you make others see” - Degas These words have always intrigued Vidi. But what truly excites her is the opportunity to create art that leaves room for, in fact, encourages varied interpretations and curiosity. That, coupled with her inclination towards geometry and the corresponding precision that comes with it, led her to pick this art form. A flare for mathematics aids her precision allowing her to further fine tune her skills as an artist. She works on the concept of Hard Edges, geometric 3D art and OP art, using geometry to create the illusion of 3D effect in her artworks. Whereas, OP art, or Optical Illusion, is a form of abstract art in which conflicting patterns emerge, overlap or give the illusion of movement by precise use of patterns. It is a style of visual art that accords illusion. Optical art work requires acute precision whilst working with thin layers of paint, one slight mark off the line, the work is damaged the illusion may be distorted. It thus requires a keen sense of exactitude to gain the result intended.
