Choosing to be an artist is a tough decision! It’s not a career that leads you to a basic 9-5 job from day 1. Artists’ tend to get lost once they enter this vast world of Art. “Who can I show my work to?”,” How can I get visibility?”, “What should my work be priced at?”, “How should I approach a gallery?” are some questions that bother most artists after finishing the college. It’s important to have a game plan before you decide to take a chance. Let’s hear curator Manmeet Walia, graduate from Central Saint Martins’ London talk about portfolio, pricing, artist statement, resume and all the other questions that are relevant for a young artists’ journey.

About the Speaker
Manmeet K.Walia did her Masters in English Literature and studied Curation from Central Saint Martins, London. She carries a varied experience in the field of Art, from being a professional artist to continuously orchestrating art events for corporates to a variety of other interested groups. Her works have been a part of various exhibitions in India and abroad. Walia, whose artworks have been acquired by Museum including International Museum of Vietnam, Hue, has co-curated various Art Exhibitions. She as a writer, was also associated with various newspapers and magazines.
Walia, in her most recent project curated an online platform for Contemporary Art and conceptualized the website as one of it’s kind, ‘See-at-home’ curated art exhibition.
